A hagyományos húsvéti versennyel kezdetét vette a Magyar rallycross bajnokság.

Szombat délelőtt az új turbó kipróbálása és a motorelektronika hozzá programozása után bizakodva indultunk Máriapócsra. Az időjárás nem volt tekintettel a szezonnyitó versenyre érkezőkre és szemerkélő őszies esőben kellett kipakolnunk, sátrat állítanunk.

A DIV. I.-es hazai mezőny Balázs Péter újonnan épített Ford Fiesta T16 4x4 autójával bővült melyről néhány képet hamarosan láthattok majd az érdekességek menüpontban. A többiek a tavalyi autójukkal érkeztek, melyeken több-kevesebb fejlesztést végeztek a télen.  

A vasárnap délelőtti gépátvétel után továbbra is esős időben kezdődtek az edző futamok.

Az első futamot egy kisebb korlátfogással fejeztük be, ami szerencsére csak karosszéria sérülést okozott. Egy gyors javítás után második nekifutásra  először a Carina E T4 története során sikerült DIV. I.-ben első edzésidőt elérnünk. 

A vasárnapi programot az 1. selejtező futamsorozat zárta ahol minimális különbséggel Harsányi Zoli és Révész Tomi mögött a 3. helyezést értük el. Mögöttünk Balázs Peti, Kotán Peti és Simon Zoli végeztek. Az autó hibátlanul működött így még nagyobb bizalommal vártuk a másnapi folytatást.

Hétfőn reggelre az eső elállt és a felhők között ki sütött a nap is, így a bemelegítő edzést már száraz pályára való gumikkal kezdtük meg.

A száraz pályán ismét remek formában volt az autónk, de sajnos az edzés vége előtt egy nagy kattanás után a motor megszorult. Mivel a tartalék motorunk nem volt nálunk, így nem tudtuk értékelhetően befejezni ezt a verseny. Némi vigaszt csak az jelentett, hogy az új turbo és az új beállítások révén a Carina E T4 eddigi legjobb formáját hozta, ameddig működött. Sajnos ezzel viszont csak az amíg mentünk addig jól mentünk kategóriát tudtuk erősíteni.

A verseny hátralévő részében, DIV.I.-ben Harsányi Zoli és a Nissan Sunny GTIR bizonyult a legjobbnak, így az A döntőben az első kockából indulva tudott nyerni Révész Tomi Toyota Corolla WRC és Balázs Peti új Ford Fiesta T16 4x4 előtt.

A DIV. 5 Euro-ban Bognár Zsolti Seat Ibiza-val nyert Répási Robi VW Golf II. GTI és Csernyik István Peugeot 206 előtt.

Végül de nem utolsó sorban a másodosztályban Végh Szabolcs Renault Clio-jával a harmadik helyezést szerezte meg. 

Ezzel a szezon nyitó futamon a csapat versenyt mi, a Fahrer Racing Club nyerte a Révész Rally Team és a Rabócsiring Kft II. csapat előtt.

The Hungarian Rallycross Championship started with the traditional Easter heat at Máriapócs.

We left for Máriapócs Saturday morning after testing the new Turbo and programming the electrics of the engine in an optimistic mood. The weather did not favoured the participants and the audience of this season opening heat; we had to unpack the equipment and pitch the tent while it was drizzling steadily.

The DIV I of the home teams were widened by the newly built Ford Fiesta T16 4x4 of Péter Balázs. (You will find some pictures of the car at Miscellaneous shortly.) The other teams arrived with their last year’s cars. Most of these cars were developed more or less during the winter.

After the taking over ceremony of Saturday we started the timing heats. The rain just kept on...

The first heat ended with a small bar-bump for us, fortunately it was just the damage of the car-body. After a quick repair we succeeded to reach the best time in the timing heats with this Carina E T4 for the first time.

The first preliminary heat closed the Saturday program, where we placed third with a minimal difference after Zoli Harsányi and Tomi Révész. Peti Balázs, Peti Kotán and Zoli Simon held the following places. Our car ran perfectly, so we were looking forward the following day with a growing self-confidence.

The rain stopped for Monday morning, the sun came out from behind the clouds, so we started the warming up with our dry-tyres.

The car was really in a good form that day, but unfortunately shortly before the end the engine got stuck after a big clack, so we could not finish the race with a valued result. (We had no spare-engine with us.) It was a poor consolation for us that the new Turbo and the new settings worked in their best forms of all times until they worked.

The race kept on, and Zoli Harsányi proved to be the best with his Nissan Sunny GTIR in DIV I, so starting from the first position before the Toyota Corolla WRC of Tomi Révész and the new Ford Fiesta T16 4x4 of Peti Balázs he could win in Final A.

In DIV 5 Euro Zsolti Bognár won with his Seat Ibiza before the VW Golf II GTI of Robi Répási and the Peugeot 206 of István Csernyik.

Last, but not least, Szabolcs Végh placed third with his Renault Clio at the second class.

Finally, based on the aggregated score we (Fahrer Racing Club) were the winner before Révész Rally Team and Rabócsiring Kft. II. in the team competition.
